So, I'm pissed... yeah...
I guess I could have went to a concert with Brian and his friends, but I guess I'm not really in the mood to go to concerts today. Suddenly a friend of mine invited me to hang out for New Year's eve and apparently I can't go because the rules says that I can't go to parties or whatever... without adult supervision. Yeah, my host mom is nice, but sometimes I just wish she'd stop being a mom... agh...

Mungkin gw bisa ke konser sama Brian dan teman-temannya, tapi entah kenapa gw lagi gak mau nonton konser. Terus teman gw ngajak nongkrong buat tahun baru... tapi gw gak boleh sama mom gw karena ada peraturan kalo gw gak boleh ke pesta ato apapun... tanpa orang tua yang ngejaga... agh... Mom gw baik sih... cuma kadang-kadang gw capek kalo dia terus jadi kayak ibu-ibu...

Today I was told to make a 'to-bring-list' by my parents. And while doing so, I remembered something. All of our visa, in the 'entry' section, it is written 'M'. Logically, if we were only allowed single entry, it should be written 'S'. But it was written 'M'... does it mean 'Multiple'?

Hari ini gw disuruh bikin daftar bawaan sama orang tua. Di tengah-tengah gw ingat sesuatu. Visa kita semua, di bagian 'entry', tertulis 'M'. Logikanya, kalau kita cuma boleh masuk satu kali, tulisannya 'S - Single'. Tapi ini 'M'... 'Multiple' kah? Tiba-tiba...

Men! I'm so happy! Hopefully I'll get a chance to visit other countries, to the neighbouring ones of course. AMIN!

At last, today I've finished watching this film. On my first time, I got too tired and I had to raise the white flag. But, when I watched it again, it was better than before!

"They Say I'm a Monkey!" is adapted from a series of different short stories written by Djenar Maesa Ayu, who also directed, produced, and wrote the script for this movie. Are you tired miss Djen? I know I am writing this haha.

Even though I've never read her short stories (although I plan to), from this film I can vaguely see that she is very serious when she writes. It can be seen in a glance, her 'to the point' style but full of metaphore. Not only seen in her story but also in the picture, the storytelling, even the background music which by the way blends ever so beautifully.

Should I post a spoiler of this film? It is my duty! :p SO~ This film tell a story of a young woman called Adjeng. Her life, which actually runs smoothly, keeps on weighing on

him. It's because her bad childhood keeps shadowing her. Well, that's all. BUT, this film really stabs through.

Akhirnya hari ini gw selesai nonton film ini. Pertama kali gw mencoba nonton, gw capek di tengah-tengah terus mengalah. Tapi setelah gw tonton ulang, lebih seru dari yang gw kira.

'Mereka Bilang, Saya Monyet!' sendiri diadaptasi dari beberapa cerpen karangan Djenar Maesa Ayu, yang juga menyutradarai, memproduserkan, dan menulis naskah. Capek mbak djen? Saya yang ngetik juga capek hehe.

Kalaupun gw belum baca kumpulan cerpennya (kalaupun gw ada niat untuk baca cerpennya), dari film ini bisa dilihat kalau dia sangat serius dalam menulis, sekilas dapat terlihat gayanya yang 'to the point' tapi penuh dengan metafora. Bukan hanya dari ceritanya, namun dari pengambilan gambar, penyampaian cerita, hingga musik latar belakang yang berpadu dengan sangat baik.

Perlukah gw membeberkan inti cerita? Ini kewajiban gw :p... JADI~ Film ini menceritakan perjuangan hidup seorang wanita muda bernama Adjeng. Namun hidup dia, yang sebenarnya berjalan mulus, terasa memberatkan dirinya. Hal ini dikarenakan ia terus dibayangi oleh masa kecilnya yang sangat amat tidak bahagia. Sebenarnya, cuma itu. TAPI, film ini menusuk parah.

Ah, at last I just had a "calling" to continue this blog... Honestly, I haven't been posting because I was playing WoW all the time. Stupid addictive game...

Today I didn't go to school, AGAIN. Because I had a NACEL dance practice. Now what is NACEL, please open this. Other than that, my sister also had some visitors. Her friends came and together they were going to visit places on the busway (what is the definitive english word for Indonesia's jalan-jalan and French's se promener?). But, when they came back, it was the exact time when I was practicing a dance! o.O And when I was practicing the very beautiful and too effiminate dance "Cinta Indonesia", they saw me! O.o. O woe is me...

Tomorow I'm going to take the TOEFL test with my friend Sabrina. Actually, I was never asked to do the test by NACEL but an alumni told us that his TOEFL helped him getting his diploma. And so here I am, missing another day of school because I have to take a test. A week of no school, nice...

Before all of my friends went home, we had time to open Zarfan's blog. We all laughed so hard because all he talk about is NACEL. And ironically, he hasn't got a host yet even though he prayed so hard. Good luck fan, and sorry I told everyone about you blog, now your blog has become a hot topic. And I pray, that no alumni will read it. haha.

Ah, akhirnya gw ada 'dorongan' untuk ngelanjutin blog ini... Jujur gw jarang nge post gara-gara... WOW hahaha. Dasar game online adiktif ngebuat orang sakau kalau gak main...

Hari ini gw gak sekolah, karena ada latihan NACEL, apa itu NACEL? Silahkan lihat di sini. Selain itu, kakak gw juga lagi punya tamu. Teman-temannya datang dan mereka mau jalan-jalan naik busway. Tapi, pas mereka balik, gw lagi latihan nari! Dan pas banget gw lagi nari "Cinta Indonesia" yang kalaupun sangat patriotik namun gerakan nya indah nan gemulai :p. GW DILIATIN AGHHH malu aku malu haha.

Besok gw bakal tes TOEFL di... entah mana, sama Sabrina. Sebenarnya, dari kemarin-kemarin gak pernah ada kewajiban mengambil tes itu, tapi kata alumni, TOEFL membantu dalam proses mendapatkan diploma. Tatkala (uhuy), gw tes deh besok pagi-pagi~. Akhirnya seminggu bolos nih haha.

Sebelum semua anak pulang latihan, kita sempat-sempatnya ngebuka blog nya zarfan. Kita semua ketawa kebahak-bahak karena topik utama blog dia adalah NACEL. Ironisnya, dia belum dapat host family kalaupun sudah solat tahajud... good luck fan, dan maaf gw bocorin blog lo, sekarang blog lo menjadi pembicaraan hangat. Semoga kak alumni tidak membuka haha.

So I haven’t written a lot of stuff lately. Lately I’ve been distracted with... online games and also The Sims 3! Omg, these games are just to addicting for me. It has been a week since I start playing them non-stop. Like, I know I have to stop but then again it’s such a guilty pleasure :p

So 2 days ago my father came home with, A MACBOOK. Yay! Happy me. But what a surprise when I heard that this was for my mother! My god, I can’t even imagine my mom with any kind of computer, but a macbook?! Phew... Today me and my father, we went to The Ambasador Mall to buy some programs for the new mac.

Akhir-akhir ini gw jarang nulis di blog. Gara-gara... game online, dan Sims 3. Gila game-game beginian candu banget, enak bagai ganja tapi gak bisa berhentinya :p. Udah seminggu gw main-main, gak berhenti lagi! Gw tahu harus berhenti, cuma udah candu haduh...

Dua hari yang lalu bokap gw pulang membawa, MACBOOK. YES! Seru-seru... Tapi gw kaget parah, karena itu buat nyokab gw! O.o Gila, gw gak bisa bayangin nyokab gw pake macbook. Dan akhirnya gw sama bokap gw hunting dvd buat mac hehe.

Film pendek ini gw suka karena menunjukan cinta tidak melihat latar belakang. Seorang pemuda nongkrong dengan temen-temennya. Temen-temen dia suka ngegoda cewek lewat. Sang pemuda lalu menemukan hubungan dengan seorang muslimah. Simpel, tapi pesannya menusuk!

Bastille (XIIe arrondissement)

A man is prepared to have a divorce when his wife showed him the docter's report. SHE HAS LEUKIMIA?! dum dum dum~?! Then, he decides to stay with his wife. After pretending to be a man in love, he once again become a man in love.

This film depicts its story in a very... different yet cool way! Serious through and through but you'll laugh at the small slapstick jokes it has!

Seorang om-om udah mau mencerai istrinya, tiba-tiba istrinya memperlihatkan kertas dokter. DIA KENA LEUKIMA STADIUM AKHIR?! dum dum dum~?! Lalu ia memilih untuk mendampingi istrinya. Setelah berpura-pura menjadi orang yang jatuh cinta, akhirnya ia pun menjadi orang yang jatuh cinta.

Ini film menggunakan cara penyampaian yang... keren parah! Serius sepanjang film tapi selalu diselipin lelucon slapstick yang kocak!

This film is written and directed by a French animator. It's a love story of the parents of a kid. Both parents are mimes. This film very funny because it shows us a character who simply wants to find happiness in the society.

Film yang satu ini ditulis dan disutradarai oleh seorang animator. Menceritakan kisah cinta kedua orang tua seorang anak kecil. Keduanya pantomim. Film ini kocak banget karena memperlihatkan karakter pantomim yang berusaha menemukan kebahagiaan diantara manusia biasa.

Place des fetes (XIXe arrondissement)

A Nigerian-French men is dying and is being treated by a woman paramedic. It turns out that he has fallen in love with here some time previously. By the time she realizes, he died. She held the coffe cups in her hand that he previously asked for them, she was crying.

In the begining, it was rather biased, the story. But in the end, it was a very touching and sad film. Rarely I felt so bad looking at 2 cups of coffe.

Seorang pria Nigeria-Prancis, sekarat dan sedang dirawat seorang paramedis wanita. Ternyata ia telah lama jatuh cinta pada pandangan pertama pada dahulu kala. Pada akhirnya pria tersebut mati, dan wanita itu telat sadar. Dengan sedih ia memegang dua gelas kopi yang dipesan pria tersebut untuk mereka berdua.

Pada awalnya, film ini tidak jelas. Namun pada akhirnya, film ini sedih banget. Jarang-jarangnya gw ngerasa begitu sedih ngeliat 2 gelas kopi.

Quartier de la Madeleine (VIIIe arrondissement)

This one, is honestly very cool! Because, it's black and white (plus a bit of red, etc). The theme is vampire love~ but much better than *cough* TWILIGHT *cough* (eventhough I haven't watched it yet haha)

One late night, a backpacker saw a vampiress biting (and killing) her victim. OMG~ Then he was ambushed by her, but they were lovestrucked with each other. The vampiress wanted to leave, but then the backpacker took a broken bottle, cut his hand, and offers his blood to her. She refused. OH NO! His blood won't stop flowing! Shocked, he fell off a stair and hit his head hard. He was dying in a pool of blood. But before he died, the vapiress gave here blood to him. And so he lived on as a vampire. In the end they 'kissed', aka the bit each others neck. AWW~ SO SWEET~

Yang satu ini, jujur keren abis. Soalny hitam putih (ya tambah dikit warna merah dll). Temanya cinta vampir, tapi jauh lebih keren dari *uhuk2* twilight *uhuk2* (padahal belom nonton haha).

Suatu malam, seorang backpacker melihat seorang vampir menyerang mangsa manusia, kaget dong~ hehe. Terus, dia juga dikagetin sama itu vampir! Tapi, setelah saling tatap, mereka kayak saling terkesima. Vampirnya pergi, tapi backpackernya malah ngambil pecahan botol, ngiris tangannya, dan nawarin. Tapi vampirnya gak sudi. EH! Luka di tangannya gak nutup! Darahnya bocor haha. Terus dia shock, jatoh ke tangga, dan sekarat berdarah-darah. Sebelom mati, vampir itu ngasih darahnya ke mulut dia. Alhasil dia tetep hidup, cuma jadi vampir juga. Mereka akhirnya 'ciuman', alias saling menggigit leher masing-masing. AWWW~ LUTCHU NAH~

Faubourg Saint-Denis (Xe arrondissement)

A blind man, mistakenly believed that his girlfriend is braking up with him. Then he had a flashback of the times they had. Their first encounter, getting closer, loving each other, and the decline of their relationship.

This film shows the paranoia of the blind man with such power. We can really feel the emotional shock that is happening with him.

Seorang pria buta, salah mengira bahwa pacarnya ingin memutuskannya. Lalu ia membayangkan kembali masa-masa mereka bertemu, makin dekat, saling mencintai, hingga mulai menjauh.

Film ini benar-benar menunjukan paranoia dari pria buta tersebut. Dan kita dapat merasakan betapa terguncang emosinya pada saat itu.

It has been a while since me and my friends decided to have a gathering today. WE WERE SUPPOSE TO! Well, my friends did, without me. Yesterday, my toothache got worse, so much worse. So today I had to go to the dentist. Really! It hurt so much I wanted to cry! Then suddenly my mom came with PONSTAN YAY!!! The day is saved.

After today's test (very hard I tell you), I had to go immediately to the dentist. BUT, my little brother is so preoccupied with his friends that he got out late, because he was playing with tyres (O.o)? I was so angry with him. At the hospital, I immediately went to the receptionist, cut the line (haha), and ran to the mouth department. There, I saw... THE DOCTOR WAS READY TO GO HOME! and so I begged...

me: "Sir, I had an appointment earlier but I am late..."

docter: "My my.. why just now?"

me: "My little brother got out the school late..."

docter: *looks at my fat little brother who has a very sad face because I was angry with him*

"Fine... come on.."

I was diagnosed quickly, all the time I was paranoid that the docter had a grudge on me because I was late, and that he would prick my tooth nerves with his 'utensils'. Luckily, it didn't hurt a bit, yay~

Alright, I'm glad. But I didn't get to swim with my friends at Ais's T.T aggrhhh!

Udah sejak beberapa hari yang lalu, gw sama temen-temen gw sepakat buat kumpul-kumpul hari ini. HARUSNYA. Tapi gara-gara kemaren sakit gigi gw kambuh parah, hari ini gw harus ke dokter gigi. Sumpah, kemaren sakit giginya PARAAAAH banget. Mau nangis gw. Untung nyokab gw datang dengan PONSTAN.!! Hari gw terselamatkan.

Setelah ujian hari ini (yang susah), gw akhirny harus langsung pulang. Tapi, adek gw yang G 4 UL harus pulang lama gara-gara main ban di gedung serba guna (??). Gw udah nge bentak-bentak dia. Akhirnya sesampai di RSPP, gw langsung ke resepsionis, nyerobot, lari cepat-cepat ke bagian gigi. Sesampainya, DOKTERNYA UDAH MAU PULANG. Gw langsung memohon...

gw: "Pak, saya tadi udah ada janjian, tapi saya telat"

dokter: "Aduh, kenapa baru sekarang?"

gw: "Tadi adik saya telat keluarnya..."

dokter: *melihat adek gw yang gendut dan mukanya madesu gara-gara gw bentak-bentakin*

"yasudah ayo

Gw langsung di diagnosa kilat, sepanjang waktu gw takut tuh dokter dendam sama gw yang telat dengan nusuk-nusuk syaraf gigi gw tanpa ampun. Tapi untungnya gak sakit sama sekali hore~

Seneng sih seneng. Tapi gw gak ikut renang-renang di rumah ais T.T aaaaa males....

Math Killed Us... Kita Dibunuh Matematika...

Today's test starts just like any other test (well, yesterday's tests) it starts with the socialization subjects (no time, or capacity to explain). Pkn aka. Citizenship Studies, which is just another way of calling political studies. I couldn't do all the questions, and in the end I had to give in and just do my best. Although I know 'my best' isn't that good either. Since the dawn of time, I've always known that Pkn and Indra is not match made in heaven.

Who cares... pkn is not that important anyway. SO.... the clock pointed 10.00 (or was it 9.30? I'm not good with numbers haha) and the bell rang...

everyone: "AHHHHHHHH... (runs to class)"

Math Test started. I stared at the questions... fuck. So many numbers! (like duh~) And so.. I started to try, to find, the answer,s of the questions. Oh woe is me for doing this test of forty... (bad attempt of Shakespeare talk). In the middle of the test out math teacher, Mr. Nanang came in..

A: "Sir!! It's hard!!"

B: "It's not just me right? Gosh it's hard sir!"

C: "Thank god, I'm not the only one having a hard time..."

all: "SIR! HARD! *%$*^ sir! ^%$*% ha...&^%$&^% ard...^%$*^%$ SIRRR!!!!!" (mr. Nanang left...)

test watcher: "sussshhh, you're all making to much noise" (sudden silence)

Something differs from the last 3 tests. In this particular one, almost no one left the class before the bell rang. Although some from other classes did, our class persisted until the bell rang. After the bell rang, everyone got out. Some brought papers with their answers so they can check with others who did the same, some started asking here and there, the third floor was filled with stressed students... and now... I fast forward...

We thougt we were going to study effectively, but we didn't. I mean, how could we? Math has given us one of its biggest challange yet, and tomorow we'll have 2 of the most boring subjects, Islamic studies and chemistry...

To study, or not to study, is sadly not the question. But there was one (that you should know haha) thing that we did. Koto started it. It was told, that when we give ourselves to water, that we will be calm, contemplated, our body rejuvenated, our soul cleansed. Serene... grace... And so we prepared....

And we gave all our body and soul to the water in front of us...

Serenity... We have witnesed, how our souls are cleansed. Every of inch of our body is rejoicing from this newly found peace. Our problems washed away by the water. All evil in this world seemed to perish. All seemed beautiful... until...

Tes hari ini seperti kemaren dimulai dengan pelajaran sosialisasi. Pkn. Gak semua soal bisa gw kerjain, pada akhirnya gw harus pasrah dan melakukan yang terbaik. Dan terbaik kayaknya gak bagus-bagus banget. Dari dulu gw gak pernah ngerasa pkn dan Indra itu jodoh.

Tes matematika mulai. Gw melotot ngeliatin soalnya! Gila! Banyak angkanya (yaiyalah~). Akhirnya gw kerjain, satu persatu, menit demi menit, soal demi soal, oh susahnya~ Ditengah-tengah tes guru matematika kita, Pak Nanang masuk

A: "Pak! Susah!!"

B: "Bukan cuma gw kan, aduh susah pak!"

C: "Alhamdulillah bukan cuma gw yang kesusahan..."

semua: "pak! susah! %$* pak! *%#%& sus...&^% ah... PAK!!!!" (pak nanang keluar)

guru penjaga: "hussh kalian berisik" (sunyi senyap tiba-tiba)

Dan berbeda dengan tes-tes sebelumnya, tes yang satu ini hampir gak ada yang keluar sebelum bel berbunyi. Mungkin kelas lain ada, tapi yang pasti ruangan 9 tahan. Bel berbunyi lagi, dan semua keluar. Ada yang bawa kertas untuk mencocokan jawaban, ada yang langsung tanya-tinyi sana-sini (bhs indonesia baik dan benarkah?), satu lantai penuh dengan siswa-siswi stress... selanjutnya, gw percepat

beberapa lama kemudian, di kediaman Ais...

Niatnya kita semua belajar, tapi akhirnya kita hanya belajar sedikit. Gimana gak? Matematika yang bikin stress parah udah lewat, dan besoknya adalah 2 pelajaran yang membosankan, agama dan kimia.

Tapi masalah belajar gak belajar sebenernya gak penting. Tapi ada suatu kejadian, yang dipelopori Koto. Konon, dengan melakukan penyerahan diri terhadap air, diri kita akan menjadi tenang, terkontemplasi, dan jiwa raga akan suci kembali dari kepusingan yang melanda... maka kami bersiap-siap.....

Dan menyerahkan seluruh jiwa dan raga kepada air di hadapan kita.....

Ternyata benar, kami semua merasa kesucian kami kembali. Segala penat di dalam dada hanyut sudah dibawa air. Segala kekejaman, kenistaan, keburukan dunia pun serasa sirna. Semua terasa indah... sampai....

Studying seems to be boring, not a surprise. It's so hard with all these temptations. I mean today, the study rendez-vous started late because we just had to watch a dvd, gosh... Meanwhile, back home, I also tried to study. Just a couple of math problems and poof, I'm bored to death. So this is me relaxing in between...

Belajar ternyata masih menjenuhkan, seperti biasa. Susah banget ngejauhin diri dari godaan-godaan. Hari ini aja, belajar sama-sama ketunda gara-gara nonton dvd. Halah... Sementara itu, di rumah gw juga nyoba belajar. Baru beberapa soal gw kerjain gw dah bete haha. Jadi inilah hasil gw istirahat setelah belajar...

Usually when I open Google Chrome, I click Facebook, Hotmail, and this Blog from my bookmarks toolbar (and sometimes Kaskus... gan). For those who has Facebook (and I believe most of you do), we all know the new highlights window to the rigt. Okay, sometimes they show crap (4 Friends is a Fan of Adam Lambert, who cares~). But this particular highlight stole my attention.

Kebiasaan gw sekarang kalau buka Google Chrome adalah, Facebook, Hotmail, Blog ini, dan kadang-kadang Kaskus... gan. Plot Outline:

Nah apa nih film? Gw sendiri kagak tau. HAHA. Tapi dilihat dari posternya yang keren parah, fan page-nya yang penuh dengan komen, fans-fans yang gak berhenti memohon "Ayo dong diputer di Indonesia~", dan jadwal penayangannya di Inggris. wow... jadi pengen tahu.

Why won't I translate the words above to Bahasa Indonesia? I don't think there are any word in Bahasa Indonesia that translates it. Wordle is an online program where we can make pictures of 'clouds' of words. From words we input, or from a website. Actually, I've found this site a long time ago. But I just want to make another one and share it :D. Today, I don't know any words to input on my own, so I open the one website that surely has a lot of words, WIKIPEDIA. Kenapa gak gw terjemahin judul diatas? Gw rasa gak ada terjemahannya. Wordle adalah program online dimana kita bisa membuat gambar 'awan' kata dari kumpulan kata yang kita masukan. Kata-kata yang bisa masukan dapat berasal dari website atau kumpulan kata-kata yang kita buat sendiri. Sebenernya gw udah temuin website ini sejak lama. Tapi tiba-tiba pengen main lagi :D. Dan berhubung gw bingung mw masukin daftar kata apa, gw buka website yang pasti ada banyak kata WIKIPEDIA. Trus gw buka Featured Article.. inilah Tropical Cyclone...

Study Attempt 1... Mencoba Belajar 1...

Last year me and my friends studied together before last year's test. Honestly, last time I never thought that it would be fun to study together. And that's why I studied for a whole week, effectively. Usually I don't study at all. lol.

This year, I intend to study together everyday for the whole week. But today's lesson was not so good. Or maybe it was just me. I know I was not in the mood to study. The others were enthusiastic, unlike me. Oh what's wrong with me...

Today one of my grandmother (don't know how to explain it, let's just say relatives). As I was writing the Bahasa Indonesia part of this post, I was at the gathering. May she rest in peace.

I just realized, that I update this blog a little too much. Much like the first time I used my Twitter. But now I never open it anymore. Hopefully this blog won't suffer such fate.

Tahun lalu gw sama temen-temen gw belajar sama-sama sebelum ujian. Jujur gw waktu itu gak nyangka bakal jadi seru banget belajarnya. Alhasil, gw seminggu belajar dengan rajin padahal biasanya gw gak belajar sama sekali.

Tahun ini gw juga berniat untuk belajar sama-sama seminggu ini. Tapi hari ini, harus gw akui belajarnya kurang kondusif. Atau gak, gw nya aja yang lagi malas belajar. Yang lain cukup niat, gw gak. Aduh ada apa sih gw...

Hari ini nenek jauh gw wafat. Inna lillahi wa inna illaihi rajiun. Sekarang juga gw lagi di rumah beliau. Semoga Tuhan menerima beliau di sisiNya.

Gw jg sadar, kayaknya gw sedikit keseringan nge-update blog gw. Jadi teringat masa-masa pertama kali Twitter. Tapi sayangnya gw dah gak pernah nge-update twitter lagi. Semoga kali ini gak berhenti begitu aja.

Today, i'm going to study for tomorow's test. Me and some of my friends are going to rendez-vous at Ais's house. Irvin is suppose to pick of up by now. Where the hell is he? So here i am stuck in here, little ol' me and my iPod (and my bag and phone).

Hari ini gw mw belajar, bsok UAS. Bersama dengan beberapa teman gw, kita mw ngumpul di rumah Ais. Harusnya sih sekarang Irvin udah sampe buat ngejemput gw. Tapi kenyataannya gw terpaksa duduk sendiri. Sendiri dengan iPod ku tersayang (dan juga dengan tas, hp, dll).

Prologue... Prolog

Although I would love to go on with the movie, it seems unethical to skip today's story. Who am I kidding? I just want to do so.

Saturday started a little late. Woke up early even though I was supposed to go to the dentist. This and that happened, and doctor's appointment was canceled. So Saturday went on with playing World of Warcraft all day long. With the occasional meal and bathroom stops. But today I already planned on going to a CISV meeting at City Loft, Sudirman. The meeting went well, although it felt like the Krakatau Chapter was very much more active. Perhaps it was our larger number at the time that it intimidated the Cendrawasih Chapter.

It was fun to meet with some new and old faces of CISV. I got to meet my cousin again, Mila. Who I've rarely seen since she moved. And with her I've had updates about her and her family.

After the meeting, me and some friends of mine (Bayu, Marsha, Andrew, Irman, Ferdy) decided to go out to eat dinner together. We went to Sumpit which is located in City Walk, ordered food, and I ate the slowest. As usual. We decided to watched a movie someplace. And after all the bickering and scheduele check, we went to Metropole XXI to watch Virgin 2 Bukan Film Porno (tr. Perawan 2 Not A Porno).

Kalaupun gw pengennya langsung nulis tentang filmnya, gw rasa gak sopan untuk ngelewatin cerita hari ini. Tapi bohong, gw emang pengen.

Hari Sabtu ini dimulai agak telat, karena bangun telat. Padahal harusnya gw ke dokter gigi. Setelah ini itu, gw gak jadi ke dokter gigi. Jadi Sabtu lewat dengan gw main WoW seharian. Tentunya dengan istirahat makan dan wc. Tapi hari ini gw udah berencana pergi ke rapat CISV di City Loft, Sudirman. Rapatnya lumayan, tapi perasaan gw ato Chapter Krakatau lebih aktif. Munkin gara-gara kita lebih banyak waktu itu sampe Chapter Cendrawasih nya takut, hehe.

Seru juga ketemu wajah baru dan lama dari CISV. Gw juga ketemu sepupu yang dah lama gak ketemu, Mila. Kita dah lama gak ketemu sejak dia pindah rumah. Dan dari dia gw dpt gossip2 baru keluarganya.

Setelah rapat, gw sama teman-teman gw (Bayu, Marsha, Andrew, Irman, Ferdy) pengen makan malam sama-sama. Jadi kita ke Sumpit, pesan makan, dan gw makan paling lama. Seperti biasa. Kita akhirnya juga pengen pergi nonton di bioskop. Setelah bicara-bicara dan ngelihat jadwal, kita pergi ke Metropole XXI untuk nonton Virgin 2 Bukan Film Porno.

"Virgin 2 Bukan Film Porno (2009)"

At start, I was curious to watch this movie. I heard that the first one was very good. Although Marsha seemed to think otherwise. I simply needed to see it for myself.

The film was neither good nor bad. I can see that the producer and the director tried to make a different type of sex movie. Not like the sex comedies that precedes 'Quickee Express'. But overall It was a disappointment.

It was easy to guess that some scenes will show sex scenes, vague ones of course. But, some sex scenes are just too much of horny-old-guys. And when the main characters are about to be gang-banged, it was hard not to laugh at the expression of all the men staring at what was suppose to be her vagina, it looked as if they were (to quote Marsha) "a mutated monkey" (what are the odds of a mutated monkey, sitting on the pelvis of a woman).

The dialogue was very minimal. It was awkward to hear them chat. And it gets worse because the actors (mainly actresses) are just so bad when they speak. Although their acting was a little bit better when they didn't talk at all. Perhaps it would be better if it were a silent movie. But there was one (that you should know :p) scene that struck me so hard, at my funny bone. It was when one of the girls visited her boyfriend in the prison, her boyfriend begged for forgiveness, and cried. It was one of the most annoying cry I have ever seen. And to top it all up, the hugged between a large desk, which makes them looked so awkward. My writing skill are not adequate enough to give a picture. It looked like they have fallen asleep on the desk, but with arms curled around.

I feel that their camera approach was commendable, some of the time. And the music was quite enjoyable, some of the time. And I just have to hate the script. Especially the fact that they didn't expose one character enough. The one character that has an interesting persona, and a clearly explained background. She was a mute girl, that looked rich since she was walking around with an expensive looking headphone, and a very cool vespa. But her life was dark. I mean really! Her story alone could easily make a great novel. And yet they chose to expose more sex scenes. I blame the world.

In the end, me and my friends got out the studio with a disappointed face, but filled with laughter of course. We realized that we wasted Rp 25.000 on tickets. And I wasted perfectly good popcorn on a definitely not perfect movie. And no, I will not give numeral ratings, such a cliche.

PS. The main character was such an annoying, sad, cry baby and was acted badly, that I missed the mute girl even more.

Awalnya, gw penasaran sama film ini. Gw denger kalo yang pertama bagus. Tapi Marsha gak setuju, dia bilang jelek. Yang penting, gw harus cari tahu sendiri.

Film ini gak baik ataupun buruk. Yang pasti kelihat adalah kalau produser dan sutradaranya mencoba untuk membuat film sex yang berbeda. Gak kayak komedi seks yang mengikuti 'Quickee Express'. Tapi secara keseluruhan, film ini mengecewakan.

Film ini dipenuhi dengan banyak adegan ranjang walaupun hanya diperlihatkan sebagian, gak kaget sih. Tapi beberapa adegan seks terlalu penuh dengan wajah om-om hidung belang. Lalu pada saat karakter-karakter utama akan dijadikan mainan beberapa om-om, susah untuk gak ketawa saat melihat ekspresi mereka saat melihat bagian pinggan wanita tersebut. Mereka seperti (seperti kata Marsha) "monyet bermutasi" (memang ya seringkali monyet-monyet itu suka duduk diatas pinggang cewek, dasar monyet bermutasi).

Naskahnya sangat minimal. Aneh banget waktu mereka bicara. Dan parahnya, aktor-aktrisnya memang gak bisa bicara. Tapi waktu mereka diam sepertinya terlihat lebih baik. Mungkin kalau film ini menjadi film bisu akan menjadi lebih bagus. Tapi ada satu (yang seharunsnya kamu tahu :p) adegan yang sangat mengguncang... perut. Yaitu saat satu cewek menjenguk cowoknya di penjara. Cowoknya meminta maaf atas segala kesalahannya, dan menangis. Suatu tangisan yang norak dan lama-lama menjengkelkan. Dan lebih lagi, mereka berpelukan, diantara meja yang cukup besar. Terlihat sangat aneh, freak, norak, alay, lebay, dan lain-lain. Susah dijelasin, kurang lebih seperti dua orang yang ketiduran di atas meja hadap-hadapan sambil berpelukan.

Gw rasa pendekatan kamera mereka patut dihargai, kadang-kadang. Dan musiknya cukup menarik, kadang-kadang. Tapi naskahnya, gak ada pilihan selain membencinya. Apalagi mereka membataskan sebuah karakter. Satu karakter yang sangat menarik dan berlatar belakang jelas. Ia adalah seorang cewek bisu, kayaknya kaya karena dia seringkali jalan dengan headphone mahal dan naik vespa yang ngebikin gw ngiler. Namun hidupnya sangat sengsara. Ceritanya sendiri dapat menjadi bahan sebuah novel bagus. Tapi mereka malah lebih menceritakan sisi ranjang. Dasar dunia.

Pada akhirnya, gw dan temen-temen gw keluar studio dengan bete, tetapi penuh tawa. Kita telah membuang Rp 25.000. Dan gw ngebuang-buang popcorn buat nonton film itu. Dan tidak, gw gak bakal ngebuat penilaian. Sangat klise.

NB. Karakter utamanya norak, menyedihkan, cengeng dan dimainkan dengan jelek, gw jadi makin kangen sama cewek bisu tadi.

First Post!! PERTAMAX

So... this will be my first post. Hope that it won't be the last. Now why should I start a blog now? I never thought of myself as a blogger. I certainly lack the capacity to continue on things like this. Just now I was tempted to play World of Warcraft. If I look into the past, there are countless diaries, journals, etc, that has passed me by (even Twitter was too much for me to cope with). Bygones will be bygones.

Strange enough, I have a feeling that this blog will be something different. I just can't explain it, but somehow I can feel that I will post a lot of stuff. It's true that lately, reading Pramoedya Ananta Toer's novels really opened a door in me, that makes me want to express more in writing. Or maybe it was me watching a sim in The Sims 3 having a ball writing a novel and getting a paycheck every now and then from his royalty. Or maybe, the adrenaline caused by yesterday deadlines is still hanging around, so I just have to thank the Scientific Paper (oh how I love to translate things :p ), kidding, term paper.

After thinking for some time, I've decided that I will try to make a bilingual blog. Although I won't try to make an exact translation.. just a brief translation so that my message can be read by all. So without further ado... my blog.

Jadi... inilah post pertama gw. Semoga bukan yang terakhir. Buat apa gw bikin ini blog? Gw gak pernah ngebayangin diri gw sebagai seorang blogger. Yang pasti gw kurang niat buat ngelanjutin hal-hal kayak begini. Baru aja gw kegoda buat main WoW. Kalo gw liat kebelakang, udah ada banyak diari, jurnal, dan bahkan Twitter yang terlupakan. Yang lewat, lewatlah sudah.

Anehnya, entah kenapa gw punya perasaan kalo blog ini bakal beda. Gw gak bisa jelasin, tapi entah kenapa gw rasa gw bakal banyak nge-post. Emang sih akhir-akhir ini, ngebaca novel-novel Pramoedya Ananta Toes ngebikin gw bersemangat sastra. Atau mungkin semua ini gara-gara gw main The Sims 3, dan karakter gw berbahagia bikin novel dan dapet royalti. Atau bahkan gara-gara semangat melawan garis mati kemarin (haha, kalo inggris gw asal-asalin, bahasa indonesia juga dong :p), terima kasih karya ilmiah.

Setelah berpikir berapa lama, gw milih untuk ngebuat blog dwibahasa (budayakan bahasa indonesia... satu kata demi satu kata). Kalopun gw gak bkal menerjemahkan secara pas, tapi secara kurang lebih supaya pesan gw bisa kesampaikan. Tanpa basa-basi... inilah blog gw.
